The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

 

• Complete Knowledge of Export/Import Process (Ocean & Air freight)

• Identify Core Carrier/Vendor – CHA, Transporters etc/IATA Agents/Overseas Agents.

• Negotiate & get Credit facility extended for organization with all major carriers/vendors/agents etc.

• Once a month visit to all core carriers - Mumbai office.

• Monthly KPI discussions with carriers - Bookings timeliness/Space/Equipment/Loading/BL release/Invoicing etc.

• Should have contacts with Top Management of all Core carriers.

• Respond to all rate inquiries as per set KPI - Sales/Agents/Customers.

• Weekly/Monthly rate Inquiry reports to stake holders.

• Check with minimum 3/4 carriers for all rate inquiries.

• Send complete details of queries in one email & avoid numerous communications.

• Weekly reporting on all rate inquiries with conversion ratio (target -70%).

• Visit Top 15 customers jointly with Sales on PAN India Basis - Quarterly.

• Take care of RFQ & Tenders.

• Knowledge on Projects/OD Cargo etc.

• Experience and proven track record.

• Good understanding of logistics, freight or supply chain industries and their capabilities.

• Excellent carrier and client relationship management skills.

• Strong communications skills.

• Good interpersonal skills.
